Nice popping noise

So I drove the car today, so I took off kinda fast and i hear "pop, pop, pop" on the left side. I paniced and said OMG my transmission/engine! But I drove it for a little more and then I rolled the window completely down and noticed it was more outside the engine compartment. I'm thinking CV joint? Tie Rod?

control arm bushings are known to pop but more around turns and bumps rather than straight lines, i would know, i got one comming apart :th_skull:

lol. I'm going to check this out tomorrow but Its only coming from the drivers side.

And I bet one of you guys named my problem. I'll have to see

Jack it up and put the front end on stands, see if the wheel has any play. My hub is going out on mine and it started as just occasional popping when I would take off from a start. Now it pops and growls, gotta get some $$$ together, they aren't cheap :th_shakinghead2:

sometimes the only way u can tell ur car is missing is the SES light blinking...idk how that could b mistaken

a misfire should not make a loud pop.
i know but i did get my car stuck in snow before and had gunned it the day before
