Newbie Tricked Into 97 GTP Resurrection

Hi all,

I am the brother of a recovering addict to the GTP. He had finished his 12 step program and simply couldn't deal with the inevitable coup-de-grace to his beloved baby. He flew to greener pastures and left the wounded Pontiac for me to "dispose" of. Not wanting to sell it for scrap I prepped it for ignition, put a new battery in and it fired on the first crank. Impressive for a car that sat for 2.5 years. Now I aim to fix it up and give it back to him as a present.

I have lurked in this forum for a while and it seems to be an excellent resource.

It's great to see someone is willing to deal with these cars....god knows most of us aren't.
