• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Newbie to this site... Hi all :)

Hi there. I just bought my first GP this week, and am glad to see there is a site I can use to talk with others with the same vehicle. I have picked up my 06 gt and am hoping I have made the right decision getting the supercharged version of the 3.8. My car is silver, with the leather interior. I haven't been through the whole website yet, and am curious about this supercharger, and what, if any, complications there are with these motors. Anyway; Great to be here and hope to make a bunch of new contacts here on the site. I haven't yet taken any pics of it yet, but they will be coming soon. Cheers

Thank you .. I will definately be using the search for more info on these vehicles, thank you for the advice on that. Anyone done a count on how many Michigan members? just got a curious bug to me.

There's actually a thread about that.

There isn't an exact number, but it's pretty much known that the majority of the users are Michiganders.

LOL Here's me not using the search button already. Just replied on the thread.. thanks. This is a big site with boatloads of information, which is gonna take me a while to get used to. Awsome place to be, being an owner of a gp.

FYI the supercharger requires an oil change every
40k miles or so it uses special GM supercharger oil...

If anything goes wrong on the Supercharger its usually the coupler.

Thanks for the info on that. I live close to ZZperformance and will prolly get it from there. I'm thinking I will take all the old oil out of there, and put new in. The dealership where I bought the car said I don't have to worry about the sc oil, but we all know what that means.... they don't know what the he** they are talking about. With 60k on the engine, I want to make sure it's done soon. I think I saw a thread on how to do the change in here, so I will look again to get going on this.

Yeah my dealer said the same thing lol
Its easy to change just take off the plastic engine cover.
Use an allen wrench to take out the bolt (make sure its the right size dont strip it and carefull not to drop it).
Now buy an empty spray bottle (1$) and use the nozzle to suck all the old oil out.
With all the oil out you can now put in the new stuff... it uses a little less than 2 bottles (10 bucks each).
Fill it up to the rim of the bottom of the bolt hole. IN 4 easy steps. I did it in like 10 min. like a boss! You can buy the oil at any GM dealer
