hello everyone!! might be purchasing a 00 GTP and joined to get all of your opinions on this car, also if i did buy it, then i was going to join anyhow.
its got 115k
looks good runs good everything wrks
-anything to worry about or to look for that is problematic and common for this car when i go to look at this car tomorrow night?:confused::confused:

S/C'ed? if so ...check the oil inside....when i got mine at 84k the supercharger was bone dry......its a prevenitive maintanace check....every 45-50k miles that needs to be changed.
 
look for leaky lower intake manifold..look around bottom of supercharger and around heads for coolant puddles. test drive it on a nice spirited drive and see how trans shifts after it gets hot.
 
cool thanks for the tips.. yeah its S/C, it looks cool.. but im going to be leaving my camaro for this car.. its bone stock and the guy says he just needs the money but he babied it and its as close to new as they can come he says... so im praying
it has 115k and he wants 3600... is that a good price?
also are these reliable generally?

if its truly in good shape... 3600 is fair... u can prob talk him down a few hundred bucks though. as far as reliability... with proper maintenance and not beating on 24/7 they can last well into the 200k mile mark.
 


well if no one noticed.. i didnt buy the car.. needed more work then it was worth.. ran mint.. love the options the 2 dr GTP had but the interior needed some help, when i got on it.. the steering wheel vibrated like no ones business.. the engine bay was CLEAN but it noticeably needed a front end, and the ABS light was on, and the traction control was not working.. also on the comp when i put it on oil its said low% for some reason.. and the trans oil smelt burnt.. if someone wants a project, i mean some ppl might not be as critical as me.. but i need a car with no issues lmao

low oil% meant the oil needed to be changed. abs light and trac off is "usually" a bad speed sensor.. which would have needed a new hub and or hubs. burnt fluid... trans is bout to die or never been changed..the vibration under throttle was a bad axle... either way, u made a good decision not to buy... if u wanna find a GTP look here Craiglook: Craigslist Search its a craigslist search engine that lets u search mileage radius instead of looking in different cities.
