hey everyone! I'm amber and recently bought a 97 grand prix gtp 168xxx miles and have no idea about these cars! Just looking to make new friends and learn some things about my car! Thanks! Any tips appreciated!

Hi..

Tip#1 Always use at least 91 octane fuel.
Tip#2 Never modifiy the car.

There, if you follow that advice. You'll save time, hair pulling and a car full of money.

Thanks! Yea I learned the hard way about the fuel :-/ and I don't plan on modifying anything still trying to figure out what the dumbass I bought it from did to it. And I'm on my iPhone lol trying to figure out how to upload pics! Lol:th_lipssealed1:

Amber...the pics they are hoping for can be achieved with the camera that faces you. lol Had to say it before they all piled in. :th_laugh-lol3:

Post up your issue in the section that applies and hopefully it's pretty straight forward to figure out.

Lmao I try to upload and it won't let me select file lol Owell I'll do it as soon as I get on my laptop I will yea when I bout it input unleaded in it thank god it didn't screw anything up! But runnin premium now ;) Only issues I have found with the car so far is windows half ass roll up and they are slow and when it starts up and it's in park idling it has a slight putter and today I found out I have a slight oil leak coming from the passenger side of the car

Sadly bills right.... Lol anyways, welcome amber :) post detailed pics of the car/engine bay. That can give us a good look at obvious modifications or problems to address.

And also my brakes will lock up and it'll say low trac a few minutes later both ABS and check tire pressure lights come on at the same time! But After those two come on brakes don't lock up anymore

See, that's where you GP folks are wrong. 97 wasn't the first year for anything except that body style for the GP.

Bonneville, Park Ave and Riv had the S2 NA in 95 and the S2 SC starting in 96.

Thpppptttttt there ya go!

Whelp I posted the pics ya'll wanted took me a while to figure the damn thing out! lol but yea I love my Red Headed Bit*h! :th_laugh-lol3:
