Hi everyone,

My former daily driver has finally died :th_skull:
So I'm in the market for a new one, and as you might guess by my hereness, a 2004+ GP GTP/GXP is number 1 on my list of likely candidates!
So I thought I'd join and browse see if I can learn from the enthusiasts before I make a purchase and perhaps become one myself! By far my biggest concern is FWD, this will my first such car if I do indeed go with it, so feel free to assuage my fears there, make GXP vs GTP arguments and anything else you think I might find useful! Looking forward to meeting people but now I'm off to the newb guides!

Both of the interiors are pretty much identical... Im sure gas mileage is around the same, if not very slightly better in the GTP. You looking to mod your car or just buy it and be done with it? You can have a decently fun car with a nice sounding v8 with the GXP. But the transmissions can break down if not maintain correctly and have been abused.

Well, I don't know much on the mod scene, but I don't have any intentions of doing anything significant, maybe wheels, bit of lowering, and a nicer sounding exhaust if need be.

How big of an issue is fuel economy? Strictly city, GTP's get around 18 mpg. highway up to 34 I've seen in mine (and its modded a little). Mixed is around 22-24. Not toooooo sure on the actual GXP's fuel economy but I'm sure some GXP members can tell you what they see averagely. But stock for stock, a GXP will be quicker, have nicer sounding exhaust, and prolly have nicer interior/exterior features.

Economy... well I'd like to keep it above the Tahoe atleast but it gets 14 so I doubt there's an issue there.
