Hello Everyone. I have a 1999 Grand Prix GTP with the supercharged 3800 engine. The car is completely stock and I'm content to keep it that way for now. However, I did suffer a problem today. The supercharger belt tore. I thought nothing of it and purchased another. However, upon my attempt to install it, I found the grooved pulley under the spark wire distribution box (that is a guess for this component) is completely gone with the exception of its hub. First, what is the correct name for this part and perhaps even a GM part number. Second, how is it replaced if it can be? Thank you everyone for your input.

hello...now go read safely modding your car section lol no seriously go read it that said its called a control module or direct spark ignition system and what your looking for is a $25 idle pulley from autozone or advance auto good luck

unbolt it..lol thats how u replace it...15mm socket and rachet...cant remember if it is reverse threaded or not as one of the two idle pulleys r but cant remember which. if its not the idle pulley then its the tensioner pulley...same deal though
