New Reduced Engine Power Question

So after searching this forum for various problems with reduced engine power, none seem to fit my problem. I have an 08 base 3800. My car will be driving fine and then the engine light will randomly come along with reduced engine power. When I press on the pedal it doesn't want to accelerate right away and when it finally does its really slowly. When im idling the engine starts shaking etc. If I shut the car off and turn it back on it will stop and the car drives fine, although it will soon happen again. Sometimes the accelerator evens stops working all together. When the light doesn't come on it drives perfectly fine. I've been told the ecm/pcm is probably shot?? Could it be something more simple like the connections to the ecm? Where is the ecm on an 08 grand prix anyway?? Any suggestions will help. Thanks
 


See if the car threw a check engine light code, will likely point to the problem.

Most likely cause is the throttle body itself as its electronic or its the pedal postion sensor thats part of the gas pedal.
