• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

New pb for dec!

GTP4

Went to the track last night with a couple of members.
First run 13.5@101
Second run 13.7 spun the tires let off lill.
Third run 13.3@103 still spun the tires,60' 1.9.
Still on stock timing cause of kr.
Still getting knock, between the shifts.
Then it goes away.:th_scratchhead:

That knock is probably false...you might try getting some poly mounts and replacing the stock motor/tranny mount...btw...you might want to flip the front sway bar upside down as it gives your DP more clearance...I bet it is smacking the sway bar whenever you shift...which is causing you to have "knock"

;)

Got new zzp poly mounts, new motor and trans mounts as well.
The sway bar is the next thing.
How much clearance should it have?

Well when you install the headers and larger downpipe sometimes when there is load on the motor, the DP smacks the sway bar right when it shifts...which might explain why youre seeing it around your shift points...

your tune definitely stinks, you have more mods than me and my car is faster. get that PCM figured out, you easily have a 12 second car. where are you located? congrats on the PB, but there is something wrong dude

Guys thanx for ur responses.
I do feel that i need to throw this out there tough:
We live in south tx, year round we have 90+ weather.
Plus humidity runs high too.
This last trip to the track we were on the upper 60's for a change, which only lasted for a day.
Then back to the upper 90's again, yes in december.
And i know temperature is a big issue with this cars.
As seen on the scan the car was not running all good that night.
But it was an improvement from the last time i went.
So lower times are possible, we just have to get right elements to do it.
