New Member with a 2002 GrandPrix GT HP?

I don't get why people only get GTs or SE or anything else than a GTP. My GTP (which is for sale) pushes about 240HP and 280 torque. :th_thumbsup-wink:

Because it kills fuel economy?

Its more money for power they don't need?

Most people who bought these cars wanted family cars?

Not a sporty family car?

or they got a really good deal on their GT or SE. (I know my parents did $0 thank you Grandma.:th_winking:)

You've also got a vac tranny which apparently won't like being beat on even more than the regular 4t65e's

Yup, thats why i'm saving for a race tranny. Any engine mod will be pointless until that is put in. (except for the l26 i'm putting in as the stock engine seized.) For the price of a GTP I could get the tranny and a top swap. But unless someone has got a deal like me i agree with not getting anything less than a GTP.

unless... you want a high compression M90 build which is how any M90 build should be done since the m90 is a heat blower.

but that can still be done on a GTP. And the GTP will come loaded with other options, such as a sunroof.

Well if you want to tear apart the bottom end and pay a shop to hone it, all new bearing etc sure.

If not, you could just buy an L36 bottom end and slap that on but you'd still be out $500 + gaskets no matter which way you look at it.

GTP's can come without a few surprising options.

wow did u even click link i posted for u? 175 Hp

No, that's the 3100. The L36, 3800 NA makes 200hp.

The GTP's could come, pretty much as base model as a GT. They could come with no HUD, cloth interior, cassette player, the SE 16" crosslace wheels, no interior/vanity lighting

haha all that and no answer :)

Because we hate your question SO MUCH that we don't want to answer it.

Here you go:

Let me google that for you

First link is this:

2002 Pontiac Grand Prix - MSRP, Reviews & Pictures - CarsDirect

Which says in the top section there:

Engines: 3.1L V-6 175 HP, 3.8L V-6 200 HP, 3.8L V-6 240 HP

Figure out which engine the car you're looking out has and voila, you win the prize...

That takes MUCH less time than it does to register for this site and post this question.

Do you see our point? And **** whoever gave in. :th_jester:
