new member ! noob question!...

for about a month now ive been hearing this high pitched ratlle on my 2000 gtp. i suspect that its the heat shield above were the cat used to be...i installed a down pipe recently and i checked all the mounts for the downpipe and the rest of the exhaust and no noises. my question is... Can i remove my heatshield ? that noise is terrible and needs to stop. any suggestions?! keep in mind this is my first post and im a noob to this forum but im stoked to be apart of it!

I watched my heat shield fall off my car and tumble down the road behind me. I did stop and get it back but have been running without one now with no issues that Im aware of.

ill crawl under there later this week and rip it out im definetly tired of that damn noise !
