New Member:) No HUD or DIC help

Have the 97 GTP. The HUD doesn't work and neither does the DIC. They didn't work when i bought the car. Do i need to have either of them for my car to work fine. I know the DIC displays information about whats going on in the car, but doesn't the dash do the same thing for the most part.
 


the dic will tell you gas mileage and other stuff, not vital, just extra features. the hud is just a projected image of your speed and other things onto the windshield, you dont need it but most likely its a bad solder joint on the photo resistor or the resistor itself, there are write ups on how to fix.
 
I bought a 99 GTP and the HUD was not working. I was not too dissapointed, I didnt really miss anything. The DIC is a nice feature that gives you some extra info... even told me washer fluid was low lol. I would much rather have the DIC.
