New member looking for advice on hood pins on my GT

I am new to this site and have a 97 Grand Prix GT. I bought a WS6 ram air hood for my car and the fitment is not quite as exact as I had hoped. Since it is fiberglass and lacks the stock strut mounts, I thought maybe I would go with a four pin setup instead of the stock hinges and struts. I have not seen this done before on these models and fail to find any pictures on the web. Has anyone done this before and have any advice? I do not want to go drilling and make brackets for the rear pins if it isn't going to work or look right. Need insight from someone that has done it or seen it done before I decide what to do. If anyone actually has a picture of it done to another car, well that would be awesome and pretty much make up my mind weather or not to do it. Thanks!

You shouldn't have to do pins. It should fit. What isn't lining up?

If you do resort to pins, which I would try to avoid at ALL costs to avoid since you will most likely crack the fiberglass, and it looks ricey, bolt up the rear to the hinges and do 2 pins up front.

It seems to be too far back and will not completely line up with the front hood line no matter how far forward I slid the rear hinge brackets. Also, the hinges themselves seem to raise the hood enough in the rear so that it is slightly higher than the contour of the quarter panels. This might all be the result of my buying it used and dealing with the bracket holes drilled by the previous owner if he did indeed drill them. I have never seen a brand new hood though, so I do not know if they were predrilled or if they were measured and done by the guy that had it before me. Your input as to the rear pins is well received and I had concerns along the same lines. Do you know if the bracket holes are pre marked by chance?
