First, I don't have a GP but am looking at them. Don't care too much for the 04+ looks (and the seating-steering wheel arrangement doesn't suit me, either), so I'm looking at 02's and 03's, GT or GTP. I'm also looking at a few 02 and 03 Caddy Sevilles. I owned a 96 Bonnie a few years back, great car, and am looking at newer Bonnies (SLE and SSEi) as well but they are harder to come by.
I'm not interested in modding (yet, right? lol), and the car will be used for a lengthy commute, about 150 miles round trip, 2/3 of it interstate driving. This may seem a silly question, but given proper maintenance, how well does the GP hold up for this kind of use? How suited for long commutes isi the car? Is there a reasonable life expectancy? The Caddy would work nicely for this, but I'm not so sure about shadetree wrenching on that vehicle.
