Hey guys,

Just wanted to say a quick hello to everyone as an official newbie and although I haven't been on this particular web site before, I've been blogging and modifying my GP which I bought new off the show room floor way back in 2000 and those of you actually old enough to remember (lol) from a dealership who sold Pontiac's and nothing but Pontiac's knowing not to mess with the rest when you sell the best...GM made the wrong decision!

Thanks for the welcome as it's always nice to hear from someone that lives in the same city I do. I've spent the majority of time over the years blogging on national sites instead of local ones mainly for one reason only.

I work close to eighty hours a week and local car clubs (for good reason) prefer there members to be involved in some capacity even if it's a little as it pertains to getting together for mod days, events etc which unless I quit the job and my says it's ok for us to lose the house and move into the GP, is something I'm not able to do at this time.

I respect the hobby entirely to much to ever put a local club in a position where they needed my support for something knowing full well in advance that my work schedule would never allow me to be personaly involved in any capacity which really sucks but it's just the way things are right now but once again, thanks for the shout out though!
 
Nice to know someone is still dedicated as well...I'm on the other side of I70 from ya, in KC. So no STL Clubs for me :D

When I have more time, I'll update my profile with the various mods I've done to her over the past 11 years because these days when people ask me about it, I tell them it's actually easier for me to explain what hasn't been modified than the other way around but hey, that door swings both ways so if you ever need to bounce something off a local person dealing with the same laws/restrictions you are, hit me up!
 
That figures...I was just in Kansas City a few weeks ago on business and how sweet that would have been hanging out there instead of that crappy motel while not working!

I mentioned in an earlier posting that I'm unable to be involved in the hobby as much as I want because of my work schedule, so I try to make as many car shows as my schedule allows so e-mail me the specific's of the 10/16-10/18 meet and I'll give it a shot.

It's a shame for those of you who don't live in Missouri, because you'll never get to experience what a thrill it is playing chicken with the well mannered (NOT) eighteen wheelers on highway 70 until you've risked your life doing a couple of down and back trips between St. Louis and Kansas City before.

Good thing my GP's fast!
