NEW Kenwood HU and Ipod pops

I have a 06 GXP with monsoon and just put in a new Kenwood HU that has a built in Ipod adaptor. When ever I change a song on the Ipod I hear a loud pop from the speakers. I have searched on the forum and have found nothing. Any help would be great it gets irritating hearing a pop every couple of minutes. Thanks.
