New Here, Need Help with Specs and Audio

Hey y'all.

I have a 1997 Grand Prix GT 3800 3.8L and I'm having some trouble finding info on it.

It had a hood light, but I keep hearing the GTs shouldn't have one. Are there any fact sheets or the like for my model year?
I'm trying to figure out what I actually have.

I'm trying to find out what the head-unit puts out in wattage and etc. I'm trying to replace the rear 6x9s with Kicker DSC693s three channel (supposed to be drop ins, I wired the old wires to the new speakers), but I cant get a peep out of them (the old ones work but I blew them). I have really no idea how car audio works, or where to start looking (I mean I've found some stuff but I'm still foggy).

Kicker DSC693 specs:
4 ohm
Peak Power Handling: 360W
RMS: 90W
Frequency Response: 30Hz-20k Hz

I have the non-monsoon cassette tape HU with the sliders for the different frequencies (like 8 or so).

Any help is appreciated! I'm new to vehicles, and I'm using this one to learn much more (also the only vehicle I have)!

I'm also looking for the glovebox amp specs, maybe I'm not putting out enough power to them?

Checking the wires now for short circuits.

You should be able to drop in other speakers. The thing here is.. how did you wire them? Just two wires right?

I thought I could drop them in. I soldered the connector off the old rear speakers and soldered them onto the new speakers. I plugged them in, and everything but the new speakers works.
I used the same process when I installed new front 5.25" speakers.

The new and old speakers have the same ohms rating.

I'm thinking I just need to get a cheap 37W RMS two-channel amp to run my 90W RMS rear 6x9"

I don't know **** about car audio, so I've been learning all of this as I go.

Also I have the 8 speaker configurations:
2 front door 5.25" delco 4ohm speakers
2 front door tweeters (unknown)
2 rear 6x9 delco 4ohm speakers
2 rear, uh, they look like tweeters, but they can also put out a lot of bass.
