New here--Interior Lighting Problem

Hi all!
I am new here. Haven't posted before because I've found answers to most of my questions using your search feature! Thanks!
I acquired a 98 Grand Prix from a friend. She purchased the car new and had the dealer do all work on it. It really is in pristine condition-about 95,000 miles on it. There are minor quirky things wrong with it (such as the "trac off" light stays on, button doesn't work) which I can live with, however, this morning, the interior lights would not shut off. I drove to work and they never shut off (doors, upper dome lights, etc.) I removed the fuse so my battery wouldn't drain, but now cannot figure out what is wrong. I can't see keeping the fuse out, because it is nice to have interior lights when it is dark!
Does anyone have a suggestion to solve my problem???

Check the dash light dimmer... make sure its not on all the way.
Also check the door switches.
