new head unit will not turn on

installed my new clarion cz702 yesterday, and it wont turn on. i installed the wires correct (yellow to constant, red to switched, and black to ground). i did make one idiot mistake though. didn't disconnect the battery before install, and some wires touched causing a small spark (it was night time so spark was visible). so i'm wondering if the head unit is done, or if it's just a fuse? the fuse on the headunit is fine, and i checked the one in the glove box labeled "radio" it was fine. are there any other fuses i should check?

There is no turn on wire for 04+ that red wire on your wire harness goes nowhere... Look at the other side of the factory harness you'll know what I mean.

I believe the wiper fuse stays powered during RAP. Just hook your red accessory wire from your aftermarket radio to it.

also, i've had 2 different head units in there, in the past year (this one is the 3rd) they both worked fine

well pull the deck cross the red and yellow wires for positive and hook those to battery and black to negative to see if you can get the deck on. if not check fuse in deck or dmm the radio circuts

Install a interface that will allow RAP to function. There is no switched power but rather a signal wire that activates power internal to the factory head unit. A interface like a GMOS-01 allows this function to turn on the after-market head unit

update. took the head unit out , put it into my 91 silverado, and it worked fine. So the head unit is fine. i'm thinking it has to be a fuse or relay? i had the sony and pioneer head units wired identical to this one and they worked

i'm not sure what the problem is. i know the constant (yellow), switched (red), and ground sources are all working because my pillar gauges are spliced into them and they are working. Not sure why the head unit wont power on. i'm stumped.

so, mystery solved. The constant (yellow wire) is dead. Reason the gauges worked, is they only need the switched 12v, the constant for them is just to remember what color it was set at. However the head unit would not turn on without the constant. So I used the constant from the cig lighter and it turned on.
