New GXP owner. Want to know what mods are necessary

I just bought a very nice black 2006 GXP. I've seen where people are saying it's absolutely necessary to get a transmission cooler. My question is: what other mods need to be done? Does anyone have any insight on the DOD setup. I heard someone say there is a way to tune the car so it wouldn't use it. Is that something I need to do? I want the car to last. It has 65,000 miles on it now. Does anyone know of any shops in the Indianapolis area that are good with tuning cars? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just give a triple edge performance a call there in indiana ft.Wayne I believe. Regardless he can get you squares away on everything you'd need

But yes you want to do a fluid filter change
Shift kit
Trans cooler and dod elimination with a simple tune

If you cant find someone to tune it, You can always look at either the Diablo Intune/Trinity or HP Tuners. Others there include Will @ Overkill or Lew Eaton (Diablew). These options can rid you of the DOD and give a overall better feel and drivability of your GXP.
