New GP owner / Intake upgrade question

I just recently picked up a 2008 Grand Prix w/ the 3.8.So far, I have no complaints about the car, it's pretty solid. Needs a few things here and there, but what car doesn't..

Now for the dumb question:
How simular are the engine compartment set ups, around the intake housing in particular, in the 3.8 to that of the 5.3?
I'm looking to purchase an intake from Cold Air Inductions; however, they only offer one for the 5.3 set up for the 2008 model year.

if you are not making one yourself, you have to buy one for your year and engine. so no that one will not fit your 3.8.
 
It will fit only difference is might have to order a new coupler also you might wanna just try Zzp or wbody store also sell them
