new gasket less knock...?

hey guys just put in my silicone sc gasket and i noticed i have about 2* less knock than before the swap....my old gasket was ripped and missin a piece but i was too broke and lazy at the last time i had the blower off to put a new one in....i guess the huge vac leak was causing a unmetered lean condition? or was it just cold out tonight :o
 


yeah....messed up gasket = vacuum leak. just for the record, colder air makes you knock more because youll see more boost and more timing.
