Hello, I joined this forum because I bought my son a 05 GP GTP Comp G last weekend and having trouble already. After getting the car home , cranked it up the next morning and it idled terribly. The check engine symbol started flashing and then stayed on. After a couple minutes the idle smoothed out and it ran fine. Took it to a friend of mine who owns a shop and he called this morning and said the car was losing coolant internally and said it wasn't looking good. I bought the car from Allen Toyota in Gulfport MS. (with no warranty) so I called the salesman who referred me to the mgr. (who got married yesterday) who wouldn't be back till Monday. So thinking worse case scenario , if I had to fix it myself, what was wrong and how could I fix it. I stumbled across your forum and looked up similar problems and found answers right away. Looks like they have some pretty smart people here so I decided to join. THANKS
 


Sounds like the LIM (lower intake manifold) gasket is going bad, use the search bar at the top of the page to find more info on the LIM gasket, welcome to GPF.
 
Thanks, I did research the problem and found a couple of good possible culprits. I'll know for sure next week and post the results.
