Hello my names nate. I've owned quite a few GM products over the past years but like to think of myself as a ford fanatic. However i'm really not biased to anything. I'm looking at a 98 GTP with 120k on the clock, it appears to have been well taken care of. What do I need to be looking for? I know that the Grand am GT's had a thing with intake manifold gaskets. However if i'm right that was a 3.1 motor?

The lower intake manifold gaskets do need replaced at some point, and the valve cover gaskets have been recalled. I am not sure what sort of deal you are chasing, but make sure it is a better deal than this one :th_thumbsup-wink:

That is a great deal for what ya have done, I currently have the gentleman talked down at 3500 though however it is completely stock. It just went through inspection and has tires and what not all around. I've always been a fan of the GTP's, right now i'm looking for something as a good daily driver that I can rely on for at least a couple years.

Currently I own a turbo focus and a 69 mustang as well as a lowered s10. The s10 is on its way out the door though as it's just not big enough for me and I have a friend who wants to buy it off me as of now.

I know the focus is a bit out dated but it's been like this since 04 and it's not getting revamped.

So mine is the much better deal, you are saying. :th_tongue3: Mine is a daily driver, with all of the typical kinks/gremlins worked out that are probably waiting to pop out of the other one! Honestly, the one you are looking at may not be a bad deal, but better deals are out there if you search a little bit.

Well i'm the owner of a 98 torch red GTP, test drove it and everything works flawlessy and got a hell of a deal. The guy let me take it to my dads mechanic and we got to put it on a lift and inspect it well. The car lived sheltered in a garage in florida all it's life and never saw snow, road salt etc... it honestly shows well too. So i'll post pictures tomorow, what a great car.

Here it is
It was a one owner florida car and migrated it's way up here to be sold. It was garaged so the interior and paint are like new and it has 123000 on it.
