Bought my son a 2004 Grand prix. Im kinda slow but will catch up fast. Was trying to buy some parts an an was asked if it was a G1 are G2 not sure what that means. The vin starts with 2G2 so i guess its a G2 is that correct?

Thanks in advance.. I spent the whole day yesterday putting on a Oil pan gasket... what a pain in the ass.. that was..
 


2g2 means made in canada, genera motors vehicle. Unsure on third digit but going to guess car plant followed by the platform code.

Look on the back of your vehicle. Does it say gt or no?

If no its a base model meaning neither gt1 or gt2.
