I have had my 97 Grand Prix GT since April of 2009. However I'm new to the forums. I haven't done alot to my car just a mod here and there as money flows. I had my car repainted last summer to freshen up the look and fix that rust spot by the gas tank door on the quarter panel that I'm sure most gp owners know exactly what I'm talking about. But the rust has since come back so not sure what I'm going to do about it now. My car has 18 inch Motegi rims, cross drilled and slotted rotors, Magnaflow exhaust, custom K&N intake and various other small mods like sound system, underglow, painted interior etc... I'll try to get some more pics uploaded.

is that orange? thats freaking awesome as for the rust where did you get your car painted? because I doubt it was done right if it came back that quick but then again its almost impossible to find a good honest paint and body shop these days.. Welcome and nice looking car
 
No it's red. It looks orange because of the camera settings. It was hard to get a good pic of my underglow. Those are neons pictured above. I'm switching to leds as they are alot brighter and I broke my driver's side neon. I had my car painted at MAACO in Canton, Ohio. They are a chain of bodyshops. And they didn't do it right I took the car back and had them fix it again. But it came back for a third time. So I'm just annoyed with it at this point. I think that all they did to get rid of the rust was an acid wash. I should've done more research and spent more money on a better paintjob. I'm going to try to take my car back again in the spring to see if they will fix it again. Just so it looks good for the summer. I'm trying to upload more pics in my photo album but i'm having some trouble with it.
 
Here's the list of mods that I plan on doing next.
1-Retro-fit Projectors with 8000k HIDS - this one is in the works
2-red led underglow and leds throughout the interior
3-window tint
4-gauge pillar with various filler gauges just for show
5-black mesh grill to fill in that gap in the bumper
I have many more ideas and plans but these are next in line

What's up Tommy? I bought the Motgeis used. I really don't know alot about them other than the fact they are Motegis and they flipping sweet. The guy I bought them off had them on a 99 four door silver GP/GT. He told me that they don't make this style anymore (not sure if it's true or not). The only thing that I don't like about them is they are pretty heavy, (not sure on exact weight) significantly heavier than my stock wheels. I really want to have them powdercoated black (possibly with a chrome lip) to restore them back to new condition. Here's a few more pics to give you more of an idea what they look like in person.

IIRC he told me a while ago he's gonna get them fixed, or switch to the dual tips.


Also Nick, I just noticed that the one wheels has a RO-JA center cap? LOL :th_laugh-lol3:. Were gonna have to track down a Motegi center cap.
 
Exhaust is in definite need of some work. That's what I get for paying someone to do something that I should have done myself. And I already took care of the center cap. One wheel came with the odd ball center cap for some reason. That was just the only close up shot of the wheels I could find on my computer.
