New floor mats smell god awful..

So after a few years my floor mats needed to be replaced because of a few rips and holes. I wen't to autozone and picked up some new good year floor mats because they looked like they would protect my carpet the best but there is only one problem with them... They smell terrible, every time I open my door it just reeks. I have tried spraying them with febreze and even soaking them in a tub of warm water and a combination of dish soap and vinegar. The smell is not as strong now but does anybody know how to make them not smell like burning rubber? Thanks for the help!

Maybe set them out in the sun for a bit and let them bake? Other than that maybe go with some cloth ones.

Give it some time and let them sit outside for a few days.
