New contest idea for the BGPM '08

Lets get some feed back and see who all would be interested in partaking in, or enjoy watching/listening to a "drop your exhaust" sound off contest to see who has the loudest 3800 (Or N* V8) exhaust this year at the Branson Grand Prix Meet.

Those who would be partaking in the event would be responsible for bringing their own tools to drop or unhook their exhaust in the manor they wish to. A trophy will be provided to the over all winner that the crowd decides on who is the loudest and most obnoxious.

So post up what you think about this, and yea or nay if your up for partaking in the event.

Its just going to be for fun, and for bragging rights.

LMAO I think that is best left for Escorts!

I think its a good idea Farns. Some car shows I go to have what they call a "Muffler Wrap". You can judge through the exhaust OR open headers in two different classes.

I think you're right Dave. My Ride the Ducks whistle on my Escort.


Personally, I don't know why I would want to hear one of these things without the exhaust. Hell, my GTP's exhaust sounds bad enough with it's current exhaust setup on. That will be corrected before next year, I hope. No offense, just my opinion. :th_winking:
 


how bout loudest supercharger?That seems a lil more easier and something to b a lil more proud of if u win.
 
The drop your exhaust contest was deemed to be stupid and a waste of time.

Probably would be the same the same with the supercharger idea, sorry.

But chances are, I would win the supercharger one...both from good (cogged belt) and bad (extensive knocking) noise from the unit. :th_jester:

Jay, I think we need to talk to Turbokent and have him put one of those on his blowoff valve.....that would really freak some people out.....hahahahahah

I hear that Easy Performance is coming out with a new computer controlled electronic exhaust cutout, and that may just breath some life into your idea ~F~.
