Im looking at upgrading my brakes from stok, just wondering whats the best kit out there and where to get it. Should I upgrade to 12" or stick with the stock 11" size. Thanks for any input.
 


If you are doing your brakes anyway, definitely upgrade to the 12" brakes. You only need caliper brackets and the bigger rotors to go with new stock pads. For less than $50 difference you'll have noticeably better brakes.

I would just get some new rear rotors and pads if you need them. There's not many upgrades for them except the GXP.


For the front. Get some 06+ Monte/Impala calipers,brackets, rotors pads for around $200. Best bang for your buck..
 
Ive decided to stick with the stock size since it is 11.7" on the front. Now my question is what brand of pads and rotors? I would like look and performance.

Sorry, didn't even look at the year of your car. The 12" upgrade is for the 97-03 GP's. I really like EBC red stuff pads on mine. Got them from partstrain.com. For the rotors, I would just go with a good quality rotor. I have had too many problems with brake pulsation from slotted rotors. They aren't needed for a street driven car anyway. Centric premium rotors come pre-painted black for a cleaner look.
