Recently bought an 01 GP GT 3800 with 134,000 miles. Wanting to put it in top shape, I replaced the upper and lower intake gaskets, coolant elbows, 02 sensors, MAF sensor, crankshaft sensor, plugs, wires, fuel filter, catalytic converter, tranny fluid and filter, and then, the engine (spun a rod bearing because of cracked heads leaking coolant in oil). A wrecked 02 Bonnie donated its 62,000 engine. I think it's a great car, now.
 


That sucks that you did all that maintenence just to have the heads crack...Welcome! seems you know a good amount about these cars already.
 
Yes, I have a fair background in mechanics, but it has been a learning experience! I need to ask a trans question. Is there a section for transmissions?
