HELP!!! I'm new on here, and need help finding and replacing the whole dash assembly- the air bag over was damaged. I am very picky- keep my car in mint shape for a 2002- within my financial means.... My car and several others in my neighborhood were vandalized last August, just a few months b4 my insurance company took off my comprehensive, I was having trouble maintaining the payments on my wages. Then the vandalism happened- sux 2b me 
$1400 for kicked off mirrors and dinged damaged, scratched doors where the mirrors hit. I am basically obsessive compulsive about my car as I do work very, very hard so this incident put me in one sour mood. I was driving and being a total miserable asshole when my friend decided he heard and had enough, he lost it and punched the passenger air bag cover putting a small crease in it- instead of punching me in the head, honestly I would have preferred that- and really- I deserved it, Later I lost it- obsessing over the little crease and I beat the F!@#% out of it- it now looks like a gorilla F!@$# IT. I have looked online, talked to body shops and mechanics who have ALL told me I have to replace the whole dash unit- NOT just the cover, they have also told me that this is NOT an easy job and will take hours- cost a decent bit for my level of income. I went to A&L Wreckers of Tilbury today, they had pulled a dash unit for me, it was in very good shape, upon checking it out I realized it had the "HUD" opening- my car DOESN'T have the "HUD" so I refused to take the dash- they charged me a $67 restock fee- so I wasted $117 for NOTHING the $50 was the wasted gas I used driving to and from this place for NOTHING, NOT HAPPY!!! And now I have EVEN less money to give my body shop to repair the dings, scratches and replace the mirrors- I will fix the car and skip my rent, my car means that much to me- please help- if anyone knows where I can get the whole dash unit for a reasonable price- in MINT shape, I mean MINT as I will obsess over it if there are scratches, burns, cracks, faded etc- I clean, maintain my car ritually every weekend- the color is dark grey/ charcoal/ black- it is very dark grey- I can supply pics, as well I need instructions on HOW TO do this MYSELF as from what my mechanic has told me it will take hours to remove and install a new dash- at the hourly rate- I will be living in my car for non payment of rent after paying him- please help- thanx...much appreciated- you can email me direct at [email protected] if you wish.
