Need virus help ASAP!

So apperently my computer has a virus and Mcafee is not working saying i need to update. Im currently on safe mode networking. Ihave tried to download some free virus stuff that I heard was good but it won't let me finish. Does anyone know why or something I can use and itwill work while im in safemode?!

If you are in safe mode w/ networking, get online and download a program called Malwarebytes and install it. If it installs, let it update itself & do a full scan. It works most of the time for me. Good program!
 
I use AVG. It's a free Anti-Virus program and has done me good for 3 years now.


If you can download the Malwarebytes program, get it. It's a very strong program that kills viruses too. Good Luck!
 
It wont let me download anything in safemode! I went to walmart and got a 20 dollar Mcafee card in safe mode with networking and it wont download all the way go to reg windows once it starts that crap pops up! It was the kind saying it was "windows virus" my cousin didnt know and clicked on it! So I have no clue..im so computer stupid! Im in safe mode networking now. Saw tried to help me today but like he said hard to do when he is 500+miles away! Do any of you know how i can get it to download?
 


Mcaffee sucks ass, jsut get rid of it even when it's fixed. use another computer to download the avg install file onto a flash drive. Go to filehippo and egt the actual install program though the downlaod from their website is just a program to downlaod it.

gotta be careful downloading cracked progs off filesharing networks... AVG with free 10 year key killed my laptop... was reported safe by alotta ppl.

Yeah I've used this one a few times though and it was ok. It's listed as an alternate DL link on avgs website.
 
Just use the free version from their website. That's what I've had for 3 years and never payed for the full version.
 


i like Norton 2010. don't know if its good. but i like how it checks whatever ur gonna download or install first!
 
if you have a flash/thumb/usb drive... take it to a known good pc.. and download the installation files to there.

Then take it and put it on your pc.

Also, have you tried a "system restore" ?
