I went to change my trasmission fluid and when i dropped the pan I noticed that the line labeled 3 in the picture was pulled out and just hanging there. Could some one please tell me what like number 3 is and if it could of caused an issue if it wasnt in where its suppose to be.

That's the differential lube line. Well known for falling out of the accumulator body. The trick to installing it once and for all is to grab the line with a pair of regular pliers and inserting it while tapping the pliers gently with a hammer. Sonnax P/N 84532-01K is a retainer clamp that solves the problem by supporting the lube line against an adjacent line. The damage that might be done would depend on how long the line was off and the manner of driving during that time.

Well my transmission was rebuilt at about 50k miles and I have almost 110k now which is why I was doing the fluid change. Im not sure how long it was off and I was able to get it back in I just hope the original clip is able to hold it in place. I guess what could be the worse case scenario if that line is off with mild to moderate acceleration and only a few WOT situations.
