need trans help

Okay, so over the past few days ive been noticing some trans problems. My car is a 99' gtp with 112k miles. I noticed a few days back when taking off from a stop in 3rd/Drive, my car would shutter as if my wheels were spinning, but they werent. It would shift fine if i went through the gears. Today i was coming home from work, and I basically have no more OD, and its starting to do the same shuttering action in other gears, unless i take off really slowly. Any ideas guys? I checked the fluid, its full and it looks fine color wise.

Also...after these things started happening, i began looking around locally for transmissions. I found a 4T65E-HD with 21k miles for $450, which could probably be had for $350-400. Would these be a good pickup/upgrade for the money? I dont really have the money for a full trans service/rebuild.
 


Installing a used tranny is always a risk. If you can get it from a reputable place
of business, with an garantee, than it would be worth it. Chances are the used
tranny will not have any of the updates that a good rebuilder would perform on'your current faulty trans during the rebuild. Or buy the used tranny, get it rebuilt and
installed is the best way, but of course the most money, ouch.
