Need to stop DIC and HVAC displays from dimming with headlights

OK, so I have an aftermarket stereo and LEDs in the gauge cluster and when the lights come on, the DIC and HVAC displays look really dim.

Does anyone know which wire should be clipped from each harness to prevent them dimming with the headlights on?

Thanks in advance. I clipped a wire to the stereo to prevent it from dimming because the cluster LEDs are just amazingly bright.

alternator upgrade will fix that, you could also try the big three power and grounds set up.
Um. Thanks, but no.

I’m specifically asking which wires to clip to prevent the two displays from dimming with the light switch being on.

This isn’t a question about a voltage drop or anything but thanks.

The only wires there are to "clip" are the dimming switch wires. They are both grey, but you need to watch out on the radio since there are two grey wires.

Wasn't aware our displays "auto dimmed", but if that works, then go for it!

Never had a dimming issue like that, but to back Scotty, I'm not big into cutting wires, and I have the cs144 so I don't have to worry about that....
