Alright I'm at a fork in the road. I have a ripped apart 97gtp. Body is in amazing condition. Motor had a blown piston.
I've heard that rebuilds on these cars have a bad track record, usually resulting in a spun bearing or something. So here's my question...
Should I go ahead and take the time and money out to rebuild the engine(Cost estimated at about 1000)? I don't want to take the time rebuilding if there's a strong likely-hood that it will result in an engine failure.
If I don't rebuild, I want to buy a long block with low mileage but Im clueless where to find one. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
