Need Some Advice On Some Subs

DreadMcLaren

I Give Zero Fvcks
Well, I have a buddy that wants to sell me some subs. Here is what they are. I know they work because I've been with him when he has used them. He is asking 150 dollars for them. So, my question is, are these subs worth the money? They will come with the speaker box also. Any advice is much appreciated.

70-90... any more and you could buy a new "better" sub and do a custom ported box and kill these!! wouldnt be bad for a first time type thing....

all it is a kicker prefab box loaded with kicker subs...

i doubt the subs are the cvx series. more than likely they're just some krappys they put in there and sell them for like 200 or more!!

DO IT ITS WORTH IT ALLL DAY!!! got 2 on a diamond d600.1 at 1omhs> first week made my ears bleed. they slam

Well I would talk him down a little bit, but I just wanted to know if these would be a good investment for a decent system.

IMO, it's probably better if you just got some new subwoofers, and got some cheap boxes, or built your own. you could stay in the same price range and have brand new stuff...i don't like to trust things that others may not have taken care of like i do though, just my $.02.

better can had for same or less $$ and make your own custom box..
ported or sealed... look into to DC audio level 2's or even 3's... great bang for buck!!

Id offer $110 top dollar. Maybe a little less. I had these before my MTX's and they deffinately hit pretty hard for begginning subs. They will deffinately rattle your car, id go for it. Their good begginner subs IMO.

These would be perfect to start a system out with, but for what he's asking I wouldn't even touch them. With $150 you could do so much more. Talk him down to $100 then you're good.
