Need more weight reduction ideas...

In the quest for removing weight, I have already done the following:

*Completely gutted the rear of the car (interior, sound system, sound deadening, rear seat belts, trunk carpet, spare tire/jack, etc.)

*removed extra brackets and multiple other items under the hood that are not needed

*washer bottle, front bumper foam support, horn....

Now I am on the lookout for more! I am contemplating the light weight ZZP battery next. Anything in the rear bumper that I should remove? passenger airbag easy to remove?

Any ideas of what to remove (and maybe what not to remove) are welcome.

Oh yeah, I am keeping the AC :)

Thanks!

You either go all the way or don't bother at all... You can remove fuel tank and put in a fuel cell... And yes, AC goes too, evap, egr, power steering, heater core, fans, dash except gauge cluster, install elec. water pump, install alum. subframe, replace side windows and rear with plastic, remove hood...

Hahaha... And in all this, you'll shave 3/10's of a sec.!

just kidding, but point is, unless razekar, it just doesn't matter, you'll get weight down to what, 3,200-3,100? Still too heavy...

100% agreement. Unless this is going to be strictly a race car (and by wanting to keep the AC it sounds like it's not) you are wasting your time and only making your car look stupid in the process.
