Hi ya"ll, I need torque specs for the upper & lower intake for a 1998 3.8L 3800 V6. I tryed the search box and all i got was "Sorry no matches" regardless of how I frazed it. Thanks for your time.

I followed it by how the haynes manual said to. If not it mite not seal properly, as stated above, or it can crack the manifold. Believe me when i say it can happen, ive seen it.

You go from the inside out with the torque spec it will be fine.

Thanks for link jump 01GTP! I knew the torque had to be realy wimpy w/the plastic/rubber gaskets. I just couldn't seem to find them. Thank you again and have a good Christmas Ya'll !!!

I ended up putting a upper plenuim on it, the old one was too ate up around the egr tube to reuse. I figured I got 100k miles out of the old one so for $130 w/gaskets I couldn't go wrong.

I just replaced my UIM yesterday and I paid 130 w/gaskets at advance auto. I also went ahead and replaced the LIM gasket, valve cover gaskets. I also cleaned out the ports on the LIM and cleaned the throttle body up real nice. Made a huge difference in acceleration and driving.
