So i bought this car about a week ago got a good deal on it, the day i bought it i put new breaks and tires on it then 3 days ago replaced the MAF sensor but now i am having a problem i cant figure out. when i open the door sometimes the cd player flickers for a second (not when i close it but when i open it ) and the lights dim little bit like there might be a short. it is a 1997 gtp i checked the alternator and replaced the battery does anyone have any suggestions i have some subs ready to hook up but i want to fix any problems before i do
 


oh yea 1 more thing my heater/ac only works on 5 or high in any function and i also have the same problem that alot of other people have had with ice cold air on the passenger side and hot air on the driver side any suggestions are greatly appreciated
 
I dont know if the two are related, but the HVAC only working on 5 is one of two things. Its either the Blower Motor Resistor or its the Ignition Switch. Given the symptoms with the HVAC Id start with the blower motor resistor. Its cheaper though I dont know that its any easier to do.

Its possible that the CD player flickering could be related but we wont know until reparis are made to what we know is wrong.
