I looked on past posts but didnt find anything. When I step into it, i smell oil inside the car. I had an oil pan leak but i changed it months ago. And also when i do step into it, it revs out and red lines, it doesnt switch in the next gear like it should. It has 110k kms/60k miles. i brang it to the dealer and they said its fine. i know different. thank you

well sounds like theres a trans slippin a bit and oil could be blowing out the volve cover and burning onthe exhaust. your gonna have to clean up the area's and recheck for leaks

Under acceleration, the engine tips back toward the firewall and more oil moves to the rear head, sloshing out your leaking valve cover gasket on to your exhaust manifold, causing smoke.

Grab a mirror and look behind the engine. See oil dripping out the valve cover?

thankls, il give that a try. i dont think i ever felt the tranny slipping. the reving issue i was thinking might be a sensor issue, or the torquer converter. no codes were ever set for it.

Which gear is it redlining in? all of them?

I'll go ahead and say clean your MAF sensor wires with MAF sensor cleaner spray, and the throttlebody with throttlebody cleaner and a toothbrush and rag.

it redlines in any gear. when i stomp on it at any speed it just revs out and doesnt switch gears. and as i said oil smell when i do the same. I know theres alot of good guys here whio know there stuff. I just wanna fix it before it bcomes a bigger problem that i wont be able to afford. I did clean the maf sensor, i took the whole intake off and cleaned it well. it was bad. thank u
