Would a wheel bearing/ hub ass. cause play side to side on the rear wheel of a 03 GP GT? If you lift it in the air and try to feel the play it isnt there but as soon as u drop it on the ground the play is all over. Any help is appreciated thanks in advance.

seems like you have rear suspension parts going bad, have some one make it move while you watch all the parts under there for movement.

ok, in that case, if you can see through your wheel. watch the rotor where it meets the caliper, then make it move, if you see the rotor moves the hub is bad.

It wasnt the hub as. I think its the bushings that connect to the wheel assembly from the latteral arms there is play in between the bolt and the bushing what is the cheapest way to go about this?

Cheapest way, Identify the bad part and replace it. That's always been the cornerstone of keeping costs low. If you choose not to diagnose and replace the correct part, then likely you will spend much more on parts that aren't bad before the issue is fixed.

Yes, I made that sound very simple and straightforward. Your question left me thinking you were looking for confirmation that since we aren't there and can't tell you which part is bad, that you can identify and fix it.
