I am looking to get a new security system in my car because I just got tint's and a new double din stereo and would like to keep my car and things as safe as possible so I don't have to go through to much hassle for having nice things. My question for you guys and girls is what is a security system that you would recommend? I would like to have on with a LCD transmitter that shows the status of my car and what is getting tampered with at that time if possible so any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I had a Code Alarm CA6551 installed earlier this year. Works good, lots of options.

The only thing I don't get is..... how did I live without remote start for all these years. :th_scratchhead: :th_biggrin2:

I will look into both of those and I don't think I would use the remote start that much, but I could see it being lots of help in the winter haha! Have either of you actually had you alarm set of by someone?

You'll use the remote start more than you think. The 5901 has a one mile range and will page you if your alarm is going off or if your car is started. As for the alarm going off, I'm the only one that has set it off. That's how it goes when you secure your shít. Nobody breaks in. But if they do, I have two sirens inside of the car (not outside, cause who actually cares if a car alarm is going off?) and they will be deaf for a few days. Hard to steal shít when you're ears are about to pop.

Alright thanks alot man, I have been trying to keep my car away from others so no one hits it but still in a populated area so it has less of a chance of being broken into
