Need advice on budging super rusty fuel filter

As the title states. I need advice on budging rusty fuel filter that is clogged on rusty 2000 Bonneville. Soaked the line nut in pb blast for two nights prior to removal attempt. Got under the car and was unable to even budge it. being a fuel line obviously I couldn't hit it with heat to soften the metal. Any advice on removing the filter would be appreciated.

vise grip in the line nut, hold the line nut still, and then use a another wrench to turn the filter off the nut.

dont turn the line nut or the line will twist and then your patching it up for sure.

It'll come off. Sounds like you need more leverage than the standard wrench is giving you. Keep hitting it with PB.

The Fuel Filter in question is on my car. I only let buickman104 go at it when I got scared that I was about to break the fuel line. The only other option I thought about was using a wirebrush to clean up the nut a bit, and then hitting with PBlast.

Dunno man, your notion of fire on a fuel line makes my spidey sense tingle... and not in a good way.

Only way to get an ugly one off w/o hurting the line is to turn the filter and hold the line/fitting solid. When all else fails... turning the radio up and realizing that I've tested the limits of a fuel filter is the way to go.

Ask Antonio, He'll tell you. BTW, thanks for moving and having him in NJ as often as you have. Helped me out with him looking at a car.

Cut it off and buy a repair kit. What I did. Was just going to leave it on but just the little bit of messing with it caused a pin hole leak where it was rusted.

Brake lines are next.

Might you happen to have a link to the repair kit you used?
