• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Need a bit of advice

So me and my friend changed my water pump today because the car has been leaking coolant and all the coolant elbows are still good. After replacing it and putting everything back together for some reason the electronic boost gauge in the driver info part don't work anymore. Anybody know why it could of went out?

What do you mean it doesn't work? Is it not there or just doesn't move. My guess is that you knocked the vacuum lune loose under the snout of the supercharger if it's just not moving.

It still pops up but it doesn't show how much boost. Something went wrong because now the car is misfiring

I'll have to take another look tomorrow.. I'm a noob at these cars I just got my gtp so I'll catch on eventually lol

Did you remove any of the plug wires when you changed the water pump? If so, check your firing order. These cars will still run even if 2 or more cylinders are wired wrong and often only show a misfire when you are driving it. I reversed 2 of mine once and it idled just fine with no CEL, then I drove it... Misfire city.

It ended up just being the vacuum line under the super charger. Car is running good now thanks for the help!

I am a little more old school so I have never run a synthetic unless called for by the manufacturer. I also don't change my oil every 3K either.

Jeff

Edit: I have my reasons, mainly because I have watched cheap brands bottled at the same time as higher end brands without changing the actual product (just the bottle), but I have never had an engine related failure and have pulled down engines for performance heads, cams and things and have had engines with more than 150K with good crosshatching.
