So I worked overnight today(I do once a month) and funny thing happened. I was parked out front and when I came out to my car a Black 06 GXP was parked right next to me and the guy was sitting in the car. He had his window down and I told him what a nice car he had and that I had the Comp-G next to him. He got out and we started to compare cars because he always wanted to know the differences side by side. As it turns out only a few visual things where different like the Rims, front end and decals. Plus the obvious V8. The interior was identical except for the GXP cluster.
The thing I really liked about the GXP was the front end. It was more aggressive but I wanted to know if these are a bolt on conversion that I can get at a scrap yard. I have thought about getting a body kit as well and would love to have the GXP front end with a full body kit.
Also would the GXP instrument cluster work in my Comp-G?
After about 20 min of talk I told him I wished my car had a bit more power like the GXP and he told me he wished his car would handle like the Comp-G. Turns out he had an 04 Comp-G but wanted the V8 so bad he got the GXP 2 years later. Over all he told me that although 303 HP is nice, a few mods and my car could be on par.
I tell you, they were like brothers. Same color and everything.
