• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Fans step inside!!!!

I have a friend who is a nascar official. Cant buy the pass I had. Gotta know someone. he had the #48 car which is why I was in that spot. Was an incredible experience I'll never forget.

AWESOME! I didn't watch all the videos but saw the #48 pit stop and a few others, wow, you can't get any closer than that to the action! I'm jealous, that would be incredible to be that close! Very cool dude! :)

Thanks, I still cant believe I was that close. Amazing how different than it is on TV.

Wow, great pictures and videos thanks for sharing them. Do you mind if I copy a couple over?

Is your name, by chance, Dr. Jerry Punch?... Cuz he's about the only other guy I've seen that close to the pit stops, aside from crews & NASCAR.

Awesome... that race was prolly alot more entertaining for you, than us who watched the 4 "follow the leader" segments on TV.

nice monte carlo ss:th_thumbsup-wink:. i count about 15 seconds for the crew to change tires and refuel....damn!

Excellent pics and vids man! I'm jealous, wish I had the opportunity to enjoy a race the same way you did. Awesome!

LOL I know I still cant believe I was that close. One point after the race I looked around and besides Officials, drivers, crew, and Press I was the only fan there on the trackside of the wall. Pays to have a good friend who is a NASCAR official. Plus I didnt dress like a crazy fan. I had black pants, boots and a chevy racing team logo shirt with a crew style headset, so I assume I looked like I belonged. Nobody gave me a hard time and as for access my buddy just ushered me through places a normal pit pass wouldnt allow.
The race was a 100X better from my view than the boring follow the leader everyone else had to watch. The Coca Cola 600 will probably be the same way. Follow the leader all day until his engine blows and then a new leader emerges.
I wish I couldve took pictures of post race tear down or the drivers meeting but I wasnt allowed. Was cool to see all the behind the scenes prep and inspections. Pit stops blew me away up close. Those guys really have their act together. Timing and team work is amazingly coordinated.
