Mystery thumping from the rear

Every morning when I leave the house, the car feels bumpy from the driver's rear side, almost like I have a BAD flat spot on my tire (I don't, they only have about 1,500 miles on them). It goes away after a minute or so going down the road. What could it be?

bad strut, could be sticking and not rebounding.

Could be worth rotating the tires. Might not do any good, but definitely won't do any harm.

GREAT. The car seems to handle fine, though, and I have no other signs of a bad strut (doesn't continue to bounce on jumps or anything). I'll give rotating the tires a try, and I'm pulling everything apart to lower the car within a week or so, so I'll see how the struts look too

Ya, rotate the tires and see if the problem follows. I tend to use cheap tires and do find that they wobble differently at different times in different weather.

These were $700 Bridgestone Potenzas, I'm really hoping they aren't the problem lol. I'll check it all out when I have it apart and I'll rotate tires when I put it back together, thanks guys!

I hope so too. I've seen all levels of tires have issues, so you never know. Keep us posted.
