• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

My Woman Ditched Her Cavalier...

blueguy

The Blue One
In favor of a little something newer...her '05 started having tons of issues so we found this little thing that just got traded in. She loves it...she still isn't used to the power everything aspect either. Its a fully loaded '09 G5 GT minus leather/heated seats/sunroof...just rolled over to 30K as we drove it home. They even gave us over 2K for the Cavalier in the shape it was in...Without any more typing...here are some pics after a Meguiars Wash, Claybar'd, and finished with Meguiars Machine glaze, removed the GM squares on the front fenders, and the dealer badge on the trunk...and yes...I know it isn't a Grand Prix...but there weren't any decent low mileage ones around here and since this thing is pulling on average about 42-ish MPG's on the highway...I think it beats the 'ol 3800 anyways since she drives 50 miles a day.

good lookin car man, is she into cars like you? if so i love white cars with gloss black accents

oh blue and his women and their ecotecs, maybe you should race her in th cobalt? wait, the balt has an intake, its a racecar, nevermind!:th_jester:

HA! Actually...she said before we left the dealership..."How much to make the taillights and other lenses look like yours?" I was like ummm...RIGHT ON. Hopefully getting the windows tinted next week or so...20% all around...then doing the tails this weekend if the weather is good. The dealer is hitting a few spots with touch up paint and getting us a new passenger side headlight assembly too since that one is already fogged up. She hates the muffler on it too so it'll keep the stock tip and probably get something like a stainless steel Borla/Magnaflow muffler.

Nice looking car and I hear nothing but good things about the ecotech engines.:th_thumbsup-wink:

But hey don’t knock the GPs; my good old 3800 gets me 33mpg on the highway.:th_nanana::th_laugh-lol2:

KKB'd at thirteen something...they were asking 11,981...I got em just under 10K before the trade-in

That's a clean car. I like the fact you lost the GM badges.
She's a keeper man (your woman), even if she does dip into your mod money.lol

im liking! sounds like a plan, keep us updated with pics

haha, no.

I sh1t you not. It is the LSJ (supercharged 2.0 block), LNF Direct Injection 2.0 turbo block), and the LE5 (N/A 2.4 block) can hold in access of 400 horse and torque before needing to be rebuilt. We have already talked about performance on it...and it is getting GM warrantied parts...

I.E...

GMPP Cold Air Intake
GMPP Extrude Honed Exhaust Manifold
LSJ Single Cat Factory Downpipe (Larger Diameter also)
GMPP Touring Catback Exhaust System

All carry warranties and all are cheap...since she is daily driving this thing I don't want to worry about a thing...hence why this thing will NEVER see forced induction.
