My last hope ..... help for a 3400 engine

I am helping out a close friend of mine with her car.. she drives a 2001 grand am gt with the 3400 sfi... now i know this forums is generally for 3800's but the grand am forums are turning out to be useless when it comes to step by step guides and this forum and group of people seem to know where a lot of things are at ... So this is the deal the head gasket is shot on this grand am and im looking for step by step directions on replacement cause money is super tight so any help you guys? its greatly appreciated
